What You Will Do
The Fall/Spring High School Internship Program provides qualified northern New Mexico high school seniors the opportunity to develop skills and gain work experience, while receiving exposure to a variety of career fields. Students who participate in this program have the opportunity to intern during the fall and/or spring semesters of their senior year.

What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:
Students who wish to participate in the High School Internship Program must meet ALL the following requirements:
Be at least 16 years of age AND have senior standing at the time the internship begins
Have and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
Attend a high school located in northern New Mexico
Pass a pre-employment drug test

Application Requirements: In addition to meeting the eligibility requirements, students must do the following:
Students must upload a cover letter, resume, and current unofficial transcript in the online iRecruitment application. The transcript must include spring 2020 grades.
The cover letter should describe key aspects of the applicant’s background and include two or three academic areas of interest.
The application and required documents must be submitted by 11:59PM on November 9th, 2020 deadline.

No Clearance: Position does not require a security clearance. Selected candidates will be subject to drug testing and other pre-employment background checks.
New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
Non-U.S. Citizens: Non-U.S. citizens selected for an internship will need prior approval to visit the Lab. Approval in the Foreign Visits Tracking System (FVTS) is required before the internship can begin. FVTS approvals can take 30-120 days to process.
Fall/Spring Application Period: The fall/spring application begins on August 1st, 2020 and ends on November 9th, 2020 at 11:59PM.
